If you are over 50, live in the Rhondda Cynon Taf area and want your say about policies, locally and nationally…
then read on…
Fifty Plus Forums for Older People are an Independent Group of people aged 50+ who meet to discuss issues that affect the lives of older people across Rhondda Cynon Taf.
There is no charge to join or attend the meetings, we will even reimburse transport costs to and from meetings. Refreshments are always provided and the meetings promise to deliver interesting and exciting debate about a wide range of issues.
Age Concern Morgannwg hosts a Forum Development Officer (funded by RCT CBC and Older People’s Strategy funding) who supports the Forums to build their capacity, to guide them on local and national older people’s issues and to encourage new members to join each Forum.
Forum members are in control of the Agenda and campaigns at each meeting and often invite speakers, Assembly Members, local Councillors and Senior Officers of the Local Authority to explain how their policies and strategies affect older people.
By joining your local Forum you have the choice of attending the meetings or you may want to be kept informed by post.
If you have something you want to say and would like the support of other people in your area, please do not hesitate to join.
